Fragrant blackberry, cherry and raspberry aromas are highlighted with hints of milk chocolate and vanilla. The luscious berry-filled palate is complemented with floralnotes and focused by silky tannins and subtle cedar oak.

Select parcels of fruit from Shiraz vines grown across the Davey Estate Vineyard are handcrafted to maximise the potential of each unique batch. Maturation for 15 months in 1 - 5 year old, fine-grained American (70%) and French (30%) oak hogsheads softens, enhances and integrates the fruit and structural components of the wine. Individual barrel selection is carried out to create the final blend.

The Davey Estate Vineyard is located in Whites Valley, at the southern end of the acclaimed
McLaren Vale Wine region in South Australia.

Despite a challenging season marked by a dry winter and a record-breaking 46.6°C summer, the Davey Estate produced high-quality fruit with strong varietal flavours. November hail and wind reduced crop levels, but the surviving vines weathered the heat remarkably well. In the cellar, we focused on gentle extraction to manage the vintage’s robust tannins. Harvest began in early February with Pinot Noir and concluded on March 29th with our young Touriga Nacional.
