  • 2 bottles 2016 Local Heroes Shiraz Grenache RRP $50

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Nose: White pepper, strawberry and raspberry notes, with secondary earthy aromas. Palate: Lovely round and luscious palate. Strawberry and blackberry flavours dominate, with a touch of pepper spice, and warm finish. Whilst the brighter fruit notes are receding, the complex spice and earth characteristics are very enjoyable. Enjoy now. Decant just before drinking (if desired).

  • 2 bottles 2016 Davey Estate Shiraz RRP $50

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Nose: Hints of sugared nuts under the core of chocolate, blackberry and dark cherry. Palate: Shiraz is still youthful and vibrant. Spice is evident and has a touch of five spice and black pepper. Plenty of fruit shines through with a balance of red and black cherries to classic blackberry flavours of Shiraz. Hints of caramel and toast from time maturing in oak. Decant a few hours before drinking.

  • 2 bottles 2015 Davey Estate Cabernet Sauvignon RRP $50

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21 : Nose: Aromas build complexity over the lovely blackcurrant and blueberry core. Palate: Beautiful Cabernet, with exciting red and blue berry fruits, a little tension from tannins, but a soft, sweet fruit driven palate. Still remarkably fresh and will still cellar well. The balance between primary fruit and complexity is here. Lush, soft and long finish. A delicious, harmonious red wine. Decant a couple of hours before drinking.

  • 2 bottles 2009 D Block Shiraz $110

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Nose: Smoked meat and olive with an abundance of sweet blackberries. Palate: Soft entry with mature fruit. Blackberry and olive with soft and refined tannin. Palate is now fully mature with a seamless join of fruit and maturity. Highly drinkable. Decant just prior to drinking.

  • 2 bottles 2009 D Block Cabernet Sauvignon RRP $110

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Nose: Mature aromas. Savoury notes with dried herbs and classic blackcurrant and blackberry in the background. Palate: Mature palate. Soft, with the presence of a little dried sage and bay leaf and complex red and black fruits. This wine is for those who appreciate mature wines. Whilst the primary fruit declines, the complexity increases. Very drinkable and a fabulous conversation starter. Decant (if desired) just prior to drinking.

  • 1 bottle 2016 The Gate Shiraz RRP $40

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Nose: Big nose of leather, chocolate and roast meat. Hints of blackberries and black olive. Palate: This is a big, solid wine with dark chocolate, blackberry, and hints of all spice. The palate still shows intensity of fruit and is developing some interesting and complex characters. The Gate Shiraz will drink well with barbequed or roasted meats. Decant one-two hours before drinking.

  • 1 bottle of 2014 Unedited Shiraz RRP $80

Winemaker Dan Hill's tasting note 17/11/21: Lovely red/black fruits. Mulberry and blackberry and small hints of anise and pimenton. Palate: Full flavoured and is still a pup. Fresh and still quite vibrant. The palate shows the purity of Shiraz from our black-cracking clay soil. The tannins and fruit are wonderfully balanced. Elegant, mineral and long finish. Decant a few hours before drinking.
