Bright purple-red. Enticing primary aromas of blackberry and strawberry fill the glass, lent complexity with nuances of chocolate and roasted coffee. The medium to full bodied palate echoes the nose, filled with the flavours of ripe red and black berries, framed by the fine fruit and oak tannins that lead into the long finish.
Reasonably priced McLaren Vale Shiraz regularly impresses for value & quality. This ripe young wine has juicy dark berry, spice & earthy regional aromas with a well-measured seasoning of toasty vanillin oak. It's smooth & seamless in the mouth with good depth and sustained flavour, trimmed in balanced, drying tannins. Drink over 4 years.
A fine, almost pretty wine with juicy ripe cherry and blueberry fruit. The fruit persists on the long finish for some time, with the weight matching the fruit well. Great value drinking. 17.8/20
The colour is very bright, deep and youthfully purple. It is black plum fruit-driven and very ripe, a bit raw perhaps. The palate is full-bodied and rich, dense and thickly-textured, The acidity is bright and fresh and peaky, while the back-palate is thick and fruit-sweet. Good, but maybe better in a year or so. 89/100
Warm, bright, red fruits, a dash of spice and milk chocolate, and a hint of strawberry jam. The palate is reserved and medium-bodied with pleasing balance.
You’ll get a lot of wine for $15.00 if you purchase this one. The fresh dark berry aromas flow through to a supple palate with generous fruit. Very enjoyable drinking. ★★★★
