Cherry red in colour. Rose, cherry and strawberry primary aromas are enhanced with notes of freshly turned earth and milk chocolate. Initial flavours of Turkish delight and blackberry lead into the compote of darker fruit and savoury elements that fill out the mid-palate and linger moreishly.
Serve lightly chilled in the heat of summer.
Vivacious, open, lively cherry attack in the mouth, with crunchy currant, red berries and vanilla. Satisfying tobacco nuance on the finish. 90 pts.
After hitting the big time with an amazing haul of trophies at last year's Royal Adelaide Wine Show (with the 2016 vintage of this wine), it's worth taking a look at the follow-up release. Grenache was the star attraction at many major shows in the past 12 months and it's heartening to see this wine doesn't disappoint. Its perfumed florals, choc-raspberry licorice flavours, palate-teasing energy, depth of spice and subtle oak seasoning all add up to a very splashable red.
