Appointed in October 2013 as Shingleback’s Sales Marketing Manager, French born Leila adds an exotic international flavour to the Shingleback team. Leila studied Food Science and Food & Wine Marketing in both France and Australia and then put her skills into practice working in import/export for Europe’s leading organic fruit and vegetable wholesaler and in marketing for a winery in Provence. Moving on from Europe, the well-travelled Leila gained most of her marketing experience in Canada (Montreal), followed by time working on a chocolate factory project in Vanuatu and also a more mainstream position at Pernod Ricard.
With her surname pronounced “El Allow-ee”, surfer-girl Leila brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role, speaks fluent French (so we can now translate our Canadian back labels in-house!)’ and “takes food and wine tasting very seriously and is not scared to have a second go at a cheese to make sure her first impression was right.” One brave girl!
