The name "Haycutters" refers to the history of the Davey Estate vineyard; previously the block was used to grow hay for Kym & John's grandfather, Gordon Sharpe's, dairy herd. The high calcium soil that was excellent for raising strong, young heifers is also ideal for growing vines.

Haycutters Shiraz

Bright purple-red. Primary aromas of blackberry and boysenberry are highlighted with hints of violet and spice. A textured, medium-to-full bodied McLaren Vale Shiraz overflowing with flavours of ripe dark and red berries. Fine tannins, subtle cashew-like oak and minerality channel the fruit flavours into the long, lingering finish.

Haycutters Salmon Rosé

Pale apricot pink. The primary aromas of cherry and cranberry are enhanced by floral notes of lemon blossom. Bright raspberry, strawberry and citrus flavours are defined by subtle earthy textures and a balanced fresh natural acidity.

Haycutters Classic Dry White

Very pale straw in colour. The delicate primary aromas of citrus are given depth with passionfruit and tropical notes. Textural elements and a creaminess add to the vibrant lemon and lime flavours that fill the mid-palate and linger moreishly.
