"Ripe and essency blackberry fruit with a touch of vanilla and spice; very juicy on the palate, some dark, tarry character providing light and shade."                                                        James

"Vibrant fruity nose. Luscious and creamy. Spice on finish. Bronze medal"

Decanter World Wine Awards, Decanter magazine, October 2009 (UK)

Tasting Note

Deep red. Intense ripe strawberry and blackberry aromas are highlighted with nuances of dark chocolate, spice and vanilla. The co-fermentation of the Shiraz with a small percentage of Viognier skins not only adds complexity to the berry fruit, but enhances the rich tannin structure. A full-bodied wine with rich fruit, soft tannins and a long, lingering finish.
