Shingleback in the USA

Superbowl, Springtime, Sunshine & Shingleback....

Recent travels took Shingleback to Florida where we soaked up the atmosphere of Spring Break in South Beach and rubbed shoulders with golf enthusiasts in Palm Beach as they hit the PGA course for the Honda Classic. Louisiana was in celebration mode as Mardi Gras was in full swing and the Saints’ recent Superbowl win! The small city of Shreveport took exceptionally well to the wines and they are now being poured at many of the fantastic restaurants throughout the city. A tasting event at Winstyles Wine Shop was a big hit with the crowd who attended for wine, appetizers and to talk all things Shingleback and Australia.

The melting snow throughout the stunning city of Denver, Colorado signaled the end of the winter season. This lively city was a delight to see as it is one place I have been really looking forward to visiting (and I was not disappointed!)!

Last week was spent at home in Washington State. A trip to the eastside of the state felt very homey as Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho countryside are very similar to South Australia, with farmland stretching for mile–the biggest difference is the presence of rivers running through the towns! Spokane was alive with college basketball teams flying in for ‘March Madness’ games while Pullman was quieter than usual as a majority of their population (Washington State University students) were on their annual Spring Break. One day saw a whirlwind visit to 4 cities, where we found ourselves in the corner of Washington, Idaho and Oregon states!

I have received a few emails from people I have met on these recent travels, who have gone out and found Shingleback and Red Knot after chatting with me. See the picture sent in by Scott, a photographer from North Carolina, who purchased wine from Total Wine and More in Cary. I met him and his son on a flight from Shreveport, Louisiana to Dallas, Texas! It is so uplifting to get feedback and photos from people throughout the US that are trying and buying our wines!

I welcome any questions, queries, comments and feedback! And if you are looking to buy our wines in any city please contact me and I can guide you in the right direction!

Cheers!
